We are holding an Auction of Promises which is being conducted online using an independent free website 'AuctionofPromises.com'. This is the easiest and cheapest way to run such an event, but to protect peoples' privacy and limit the auction to members and friends of the Festival we can only include you if you are on our Mailing List.

Over 800 people already are but if you know and love the Festival, please join up so that we can share all our news with you. There is a purple bar at the bottom of this page - just click on that and away you go.

As soon as you have joined the list, you will be able to share in this great event as follows:

  • Helen Mardell, our Fundraising Coordinator, already has  over 40 promises but, is ready to accept your promises: just email her on fundraising@lhmf.org.uk with the following details:

    • a title for the promise
    • a description of what you are offering
    • a suggested starting bid (don't sell yourself short!)
    • a location (e.g. how far you are prepared to travel from your home, or just 'Surrey')
    • your name, email address and phone number (this is for us to be able to include your offer, but these don't appear on 'AuctionofPromises')
    • (optional) any website you may wish to refer to
    • (optional) illustrative photo
  • new promises will be added throughout the auction

  • once you are on the Mailing List, we will send you a link to enable you to bid
  • bidding is only by invitation to members of the LHMF Mailing List

  • bidding is open now and closes on May 10th

  • the winning bid is the highest bid registered by AuctionofPromises.com when the auction closes

  • our auction administrator will receive a summary of all of the promises, who the highest bidders were and how much was raised - our target is £2000

  • winning bidders are automatically notified of their winning bid, how to pay and who to contact to redeem their  promise

  • 'AuctionofPromises.com' terms of service can be seen here
